Chatbase alternative

Good AI, capped at five people

Chatbase builds a capable AI agent and is not expensive for what it does. The ceiling is the team: one seat free, two on Hobby, three on Standard, five on Pro, and no published price above that. klink.cloud puts no limit on agents at $99 and includes the contact center behind them.

What each plan actually buys

There is no savings calculator on this page, because on AI alone Chatbase is often the cheaper option and pretending otherwise would not survive a look at their price list. The number that moves is the team.

Free1 team member, 50 message credits
Hobby, $32 a month2 team members, 700 credits
Standard, $120 a month3 team members, 4,000 credits
Pro, $400 a month5 team members, 15,000 credits
A sixth team memberEnterprise, price on request
Credits once the plan runs dry$40 per 1,000
Each additional AI agent$300 a year
Removing the Chatbase badge$1,188 a year
klink.cloud Growth, $99 a monthUnlimited agents, 1,000 resolved conversations

Chatbase figures are published list pricing on annual billing, which is the cheaper of their two terms; monthly billing is $40, $150 and $500 for the same three plans. A message credit is consumed per AI response and stronger models consume more, so a given month depends on which model answers and how long threads run. klink.cloud is the $99 Growth plan with unlimited agents and 1,000 resolved conversations included.

What each one is built to be

Both now run an AI agent, a shared inbox and voice. The differences are the seat ceiling, the way the AI is metered, and which channels reach customers in this region.

Switching questions

Is Chatbase cheaper than klink.cloud?

For the AI on its own, at a small team size, often yes. Standard is $120 a month for 4,000 message credits and it is a capable product at that price. What it does not do is grow with the team. The plan that covers five people is $400, and the sixth person has no published price at all.

What is a message credit, and why does it make budgeting hard?

Every AI response consumes credits, and a stronger model consumes more per response, so the same number of conversations can cost different amounts depending on which model answers and how long the threads run. Topping up is $40 per 1,000. klink.cloud counts a resolved conversation once, whichever model did the work.

Chatbase has a helpdesk and voice now. What is still different?

The seat ceiling first, and then reach. LINE, Viber, Telegram, Lazada and TikTok Shop are not on their channel list, and there is no bring your own carrier option, so a team serving this region on the channels customers actually use will find gaps that are not about AI quality at all.

Where is Chatbase stronger?

Getting an AI agent live quickly. Point it at your site, tune it, embed it the same day, with a genuinely good building experience. If that is the whole job and the team stays small, it is a good tool and this page is not going to argue you out of it.
