Common questions
Why do some countries show no receive rate?
Inbound SMS is not available in every market, usually because the local regulator or carrier does not support it on the number types we can issue. Sending still works where a send rate is listed.
Do we need brand name registration?
In most markets, yes, before any message will be delivered. Our team handles the registration as part of onboarding, and it is the usual reason for a delay between signing up and sending.
Can we use our own SMS provider?
Yes. Connect Vonage with your own sender ID and credentials, and messages still arrive in the same inbox as every other channel.
