Messaging that does not bill you per contact
respond.io meters two things at once: $20 a month for every user past ten, and $12 for every hundred monthly active contacts past a thousand. A campaign that works therefore raises the bill. klink.cloud charges for neither, and the phone system is part of the platform rather than a carrier integration.

respond.io figures use published list pricing: Growth at $159 a month including ten users and 1,000 monthly active contacts, $20 a month per additional user, and $12 per 100 active contacts above the first thousand. Starter at $79 is cheaper but carries no AI agents and no calling, so it is not a comparable setup. AI credits and Telnyx VoIP usage are left out, so the respond.io column is the conservative figure. klink.cloud is the $99 Growth plan with unlimited agents, no contact meter and telephony included, and this counts every active contact as an AI resolution, which is the most expensive reading of our own pricing.
Where a messaging platform stops
The channel lists are close, and on messaging respond.io is a serious product. The difference is the meter, and what happens when a conversation needs a phone line.

Switching questions
What is a monthly active contact, and why does it matter?
It is any contact you exchange a message with in a given month. A broadcast that lands well, or a click to chat campaign that performs, converts directly into billable contacts, so the bill tracks the size of your audience rather than the amount of work your team did. klink.cloud does not meter contacts at all.
Why compare against Growth rather than the $79 Starter plan?
Starter carries no AI agents and no calling, so it is not the same setup. Comparing against it would leave out the two things this page is about. Growth is the cheapest respond.io plan that has both.
respond.io has voice as well. What is actually different?
Theirs is a VoIP connection through Telnyx, so the carrier is chosen for you and calling sits beside the inbox. On klink.cloud telephony is the platform: bring the carrier you already have, keep your numbers and rates, and get queues, recording and CDR in the same place as the chats.
Where is respond.io stronger?
Outbound growth on WhatsApp. Broadcasts, click to chat ads and campaign workflows are what it is built around and it does them well. If your work is marketing led messaging rather than a support operation with a phone line behind it, that is a genuine fit and this page is not going to argue otherwise.
